FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need previous therapy experience?
Not at all. I meet you exactly where you are. Whether you're new to therapy or returning after time away, we work at a pace that makes sense for you.
Is psychotherapy covered by insurance?
Yes. I'm a licensed Psychotherapist and Marital & Family Therapist. Many extended health plans reimburse my services. Coverage varies by provider, so please confirm with your insurer.
Is this work appropriate for trauma?
Yes. I have extensive training in trauma-informed care and we work at a pace that honours your nervous system. We won't push you beyond what you can integrate.
If you're currently in acute crisis, please reach out to crisis services first. Once stabilized, we can begin therapeutic work together.
Is this work religious or spiritual?
No religious affiliation. I honour natural cycles and what I call Sacred Feminine Psychology — which is about reclaiming the parts of being human (intuition, body wisdom, emotional depth, cyclical knowing) that have been devalued or dismissed.
You don't need to identify as spiritual to work with me. You just need to be willing to pay attention to what your body and intuition are telling you.
How is this different from other therapy?
I'm not interested in helping you cope better with a life that's exhausting you. We work to understand why you built this life and how to build something sustainable instead.
I integrate clinical psychology (attachment theory, trauma-informed care, feminist therapy) with sacred feminine psychology (body wisdom, women's developmental cycles, archetypal understanding).
This means we work with both psychological insight and embodied knowing. Both your mind and your body are sources of wisdom.
What if I'm not sure this is right for me?
That's what the consultation call is for. We'll talk about what you're navigating, I'll explain how I work, and we'll both get a sense of whether we're right for each other.
There's no pressure to commit. Sometimes people need to think about it for a few weeks before deciding. That's completely fine.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Schedule a brief consultation call. We'll have a 15-minute conversation to discuss what you're navigating, answer any questions you have about working together, and determine if we're a good fit.
No pressure. Just a real conversation about whether this work makes sense for you right now.
